I haven’t done a review in a minute so for today; one product I loved and the other? You guessed it, I hated it. But first! Pretty pictures. (Obv.)

On the left, this lovely Chanel Les Beiges bronzer. You know, the one with Giselle in the ad? Anyway, here’s the deal with Chanel makeup, it’s so special. The packaging is gorgeous, the product is in a velvet-esque sleeve complete with double Cs, and, hey, it even comes with a special pricetag. I’ve tried quite a few of Chanel’s products, and can assure you this one lives up. I’m pretty sure it’s marketed as a healthy glow sheer color or something, but it’s pretty much a bronzer depending on the shade you select. I’m transparent (and proud of it, thank you very much!) and I went with shade 20. It has a delightful perfume and really does produce a lovely shade that isn’t orange or brown. It’s worth the 60 dolars, I promise.
Onto my homegirl Bobbi Brown and her navy and nude holiday palette. I know she has her fans, but I’ve tried and tried and never gotten it right. I’m a navy and tortoise fan so you wouldn’t be surprised to know I purchased this for two reasons: one, the navy tortoise case and, two, the most perfect looking navy eyeshadow. That’s right, I spent a fortune on a palette of colors planning on using just one color. I’ve never been too practical. Really, though, all of the colors in this palette are fantastic. I tried and was let down several times by them. The navy specifically was not pigmented enough. The remaining shades had almost a chalky grey look after eight hours of wear or were too full of glitter. I think the pigment issues and the lack of staying power contributed to my dislike. The worst part? You know I assumed I’d love it and tossed the receipt. I see it everyday, and it’s more than a little annoying.
If you have a product you’d like my bitchy opinion on, message me! xx
